Special Events

Parks and Recreation offers many special events fun for the whole family. You will find information on these events by following the links below. Special Events are seasonal, so keep checking for new activities.
          
  • 2017 SUMMER DAY CAMPs - $100 per Session

    • Ages: 6-12 years, as of July 31st
    • Time: 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
    • Camps: Lotsafun or Summer Fun
    • Session 1: June 5th - June 16th
    • Session 2: June 19th - June 30th
    • Session 3: July 3rd - July 14th
    • Session 4: July 17th - July 28th
    • *Space is limited to 50 campers maximum, per session*
    • Registration begins no earlier than Monday, May 1st from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    • Where: 600 11th St., (2nd floor of the Wichita Falls Public Library) - Room 209
    • Registration will not be accepted without completed registration forms.
    • A  copy of the child's birth certificate must be submitted with registration.

  • SUMMER OUTDOOR CONCERT SERIES - FREE

    • All Ages
    • Time: 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
    • Line-Up:
    • June 20thDog Waltz at Weeks Park - *Kona Ice snow cones available*
    • Bring: Lawn chair or blanket

  • LUCY PARK SWIMMING POOL - 940-723-9101

     
    • When: 7 Days a week, weather permitting.
    • Dates Open: May 28th - 31st & June 1st - August 13th
    • Time: Noon-6:00 p.m.
    • Where: Lucy Park Swimming Pool
    • General Admission:
      • Free - under 2yrs of age, with paid adult admission 
      • $2.00 - 17 & under
      • $3.00 - 18 & up
    • Special Rules:
      • Children under six must be accompanied by an adult in the pool.
      • Suitable swimming attire only. No cut-offs or makeshift swimwear.
      • No flotation devices except USCG approved life vests.
      • No food or drinks brought in.
    • Note:
      • Dressing facility available, no lockers or storage.
      • No wading pool.
      • Not responsible for lost or stolen items.
      • Concession stand available.
