Franchise Solid Waste
Franchise Hauler Application (MyGov)
- Persons in the business of collecting, transporting, or disposing of construction, demolition, compactor, bulk waste, recyclable materials or special wastes produced in the City, as a primary business, shall first obtain a nonexclusive franchise from the City.
- Franchise holders shall only use ten cubic yard or larger roll-offs, or compactors for the collection, transporting, or disposing of waste.
- Franchise holders shall only collect, transport, or dispose of construction, demolition, compactor, bulk waste, recyclable materials or special wastes from commercial or industrial service units.
- Franchise holders may place a roll-off or compactor on a commercial or industrial service unit site with a valid Location Site Permit that was obtained by the property owner.
- Franchise holders are only permitted to place a roll-off on a construction site at any place determined by the general contractor for which there has not been issued a certificate of occupancy, except said receptacle, shall not be placed on the public right of way, easements, or public sidewalks.
- Franchise holders may place a roll-off on a residential property with a valid City building permit for the sole purpose of collection and disposing of construction or demolition waste.
- All waste produced within the City of Wichita Falls that is accepted at the City's Type 1 landfill must be disposed at the City Landfill

- Select "Credentials Manager"
- Select "Solid Waste Hauler Franchise"
- Fill in all required fields and upload mandatory documents.
- Franchise Fee is $250 per year and $500 per vehicle per year. Fee will be paid by Check or Cash and must be paid prior to approval.
- How to determine if a service unit, residential or commercial, has a valid building permit or Location Site Permit
- Visit MyGov
- Select "Address Lookup"
- Select "Permits"
- Monthly Report Form (DOC, PDF, XLS) - Due the 15th of every month for the previous month of each Franchise year.
- Annual Report Form (DOC, PDF) - Due September 15 for the previous 12 months of the Franchise.
