Spring is here and the grass is growing once again. Please remember that weeds or grass that exceeds a height of nine (9) inches is a violation of city ordinance. Property owners / tenants are responsible for maintaining right-of-ways adjacent to their properties. This includes alleyways whether improved or unimproved. Residents with alley dumpster service are also required by city ordinance to maintain the area around any dumpster adjacent to their property and ensure that the weeds/grass is mowed and trash on the ground is removed.
Signs in Right-of-Way
Within the city limits of Wichita Falls it is unlawful to place a sign upon a public right-of-way, this includes political signs. The right-of-way is generally defined as being the area starting at the back of the curb and extending 10 feet into the property. Temporary storage unit ordinance
A city ordinance regulating the placement and duration of temporary storage units on residential properties went into effect September 1, 2018.
